Preparations for the Super Bowl were thrown into disarray this morning when it was announced that Tim Tebow and David Beckham have joined the squads as last minute wild cards.
The NFL are thought to introduced the new rule to allow wildcards after pressure from sponsors - with Nike and Pepsi rumoured to be putting up cash.
Tebow is a controversial selection as his team Denver Bronco's were beaten by the New England Patriots in the play-offs.
David Beckham is not even a NFL player - he plays soccer for LA Galaxy but is famous worldwide for marrying a Spice Girl, Victoria, and advertising pants in shop windows and billboards.
The Patriots and the New York Giants go head to head at 6.30pm EST.
More as we get it.
