A British man living in the Thai eastern seaboard resort of Pattaya has taken the most decisive action yet against a colony of ants that occupy his apartment. On Saturday, the man got totally fed up of the constant marching and foraging of the ants, and poured a kettle full of boiling water over their nest.
Ants were seen to be sizzling and squirming from the intense heat of the water, and those that were able, fled the scene as fast as their tiny little legs could carry them.
Ants don't seem to like the sensation of having boiling water poured over them, and for many, the callous actions of the Hull man were just too much. Many thousands died where they stood. Survivors later vowed to wreak a terrible revenge on the Yorkshireman as soon as he went to bed tonight.
To counter this, the man boiled another kettle, and when it boiled, poured it down the hole where the ants' Queen lay, churning out her millions of eggs.
Mayhem ensued.
