It's an inevitable but innovative move in phone services, as Verizon is the first to offer Caller ID Blocking Blocking Bypass.
Their website states: "Anyone with Caller ID Blocking has probably experienced that ever so annoying message, 'To complete this call, please dial *82 before this number to disable your Caller ID Blocking'. That's why we've created Caller ID Blocking Blocking Bypassing. We always think of the customer first here at Verizon."
They plan to charge a very small fee for Caller ID Blocking Blocking Bypassing until it becomes more popular.
Privacy activists are outraged.
"What???" says privacy activist Philip Dimmsdale, outraged. "What??? What?!! You must be kidding me! Arrgh!"
AT&T is quickly following Verizon's footsteps, stating that they plan to offer Caller ID Blocking Blocking Bypassing within the next few weeks.
"We're never really behind, as far as technology goes," states an AT&T representative. "We're always right there, ready to catch up, as far as technology goes. We had been contemplating this move for a while, but none of us really had the balls to do it."

Playing catch-up, AT&T hinted at plans to launch Caller ID Blocking Blocking Bypassing Prohibiting this summer.
