Toronto, Ontario - 1010 CFRB radio personalities Gordon Cameron and Gordon Macalister publicly apologized for implying that former Canadian Prime Minister John A. Macdonald did not invent the pogo stick.

"It's just like John A. Macdonald with his fake pogo stick invention...," said Macalister briefly during a segment of their conservative talk radio program. Within minutes (and at the station manager's request) he apologized for the rude remark. Seconds later, the station's phone lines were jammed with angry callers. Shortly thereafter a lynch mob surrounded their modest glass-enclosed studio.

"Jesus-haytch-fargin'-Christ, I never thought we'd get out of there alive!" confessed Cameron. The pair were quickly extracted from the ensuing chaos by helicopter and flown to a nearby Highland Games demonstration. Fortunately, a tossed caber missed their flying machine by mere inches as the pilot made an emergency landing with both wheels up.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
