In an extraordinary move today, NASA tried to claim that the American Moon landings really happened.
Trying to silence the laughter of European journalists, NASA scientist Henry Heston said: 'OK, we've just about managed to get space shuttles into the earth's atmosphere safely now in the 2000s, but in 1969, with World War 2 German rocket technology, we landed on the Moon, thousands of times more difficult than orbiting the Earth. And those stars and stripes are still waving in the wind there!'
British astronaut Harriet Harman said: 'We'll land on the Moon first, as soon as we can invent another hundred taxes to fund it, so that should be quite soon, then.'
But fanatical Nazi, Wehrner von Braun, who designed the Apollo rockets, said: 'Americans will believe anything if it's on TV, they even believe ABC news and CNN.'
