Dentists and leading scientists have compiled a report highlighting the significant risks involved with DIY "over the counter" teeth whitening kits. It has emerged that a single pack could contain upto more than twice the amount of bleach found in home hair dye kits.
"The results are quite alarming." Commented Dr Canine-Molar of the British Dental Association. "These kits are so common in todays society that demands perfection, and are available on any high street. They could, however, cause blistering of the mouth and gums given the high levels of bleach in the ingredients."
Dr Canine-Molar went on to say that the biggest causes of teeth discolouration were smoking, drinking coffee, and red wine.
"As with red wine on the carpet, white wine can remove the stain. That's why after a couple of bottles of Merlot, I always down a bottle of white just before I go to bed."
