At the University of Tooting in south London, scientists have at last confidently predicted when the Sun will vanish and the world will be plunged into darkness. And the shock is that it's sooner than you think. Are you prepared?
After many minutes spent performing astronomical measurements and doing complex calculations, the scientists assembled a press conference to make the following shock announcement.
The Sun will stop shining this evening at approximately 17:48. After that, there will be no natural light in the sky at all, except maybe a little from the Moon and stars. The government has appealed for calm, and has advised the public to carry a torch or to ensure they have electrical lighting equipment in their home.
The good news is that a new Sun should appear tomorrow, but it is predicted that that one may eventually vanish as well.
