HOUSTON - The National Aeronautics And Space Administration has just informed the public that a Costa Rican astronaut has left the Costa Rican Space Program and applied to NASA to become an astronaut.

NASA's assistant spokesperson Skipper Flashfiddle remarked that the Central American astronaut has been identified as Major Gilberto "El Pajaro" Paraguez.

Paraguez was interviewed by American Spotlight Magazine and he said that ever since he was a little boy of six he dreamed of becoming a bullfighter, a piƱata maker, or an astronaut.

He said that his Uncle Ponce De LLama talked him into becoming an astronaut because they make lots of money, they get to wear really neat space suits, and they have very beautiful blonde girlfriends just like the black NBA basketball players have.

Mr. Flashfiddle said that he personally saw Mr. Parguez's resume and it did look very impressive; especially the part where he wrote that he can bench press 512 pounds, run 17 miles every day, and eat five Big Mac's in one sitting.

SIDENOTE: Flashdiddle said that the only hold up would be that Major Paraguez has to learn English because right now the only English words he knows are beer, the Dallas Cowboys, Eva Longoria, Big Mac's, and American Idol.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
