Tis the season for tweason.
Donald Trump, who has already changed the game in U.S. presidential politics, is now engaging in acts that lead to new words. Trump's latest tweets have coined the new word "tweason", which means the act by a U.S. public figure to disparage America and to embrace a foe by a tweet.
Tweason has already become the most popular new word of 2017.
Trump's recent tweasonous tweets include the remarkable tweet: "Great move on delay (by V. Putin) - I always knew he was very smart!"
Very smart indeed. Many see it instead as an acknowledgement by Putin himself that he authorized the hacking into Democratic databases to help elect Trump.
Tweason is now trending on Twitter, just ahead of the word Watergate. Watergate was a new word, too, once upon a time.
Americans are already using tongue twisters to remark on Trump's tweason. "Trump's tweason by Twitter is America's truest election treat by tweet."
So who needs Sally's shells, Peter's peppers, and the Woodchuck's upchuck when we have best buds in Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin.
