The audience at the Dr. Phil TV program gasped this afternoon when Dr. Phil unloaded on a program participant who had been found guilty of texting while driving in North Carolina severely injuring a woman and her small child.
The man seemed totally unrepentant as Dr. Phil interviewed him.
Dr. Phil: "Don't you feel terrible that your negligence caused these injuries of innocent people?"
Man: "My WHAT caused their deaths?"
Dr. Phil: "Your negligence! Your inability to safely drive your car!"
Man: "Say WHAT! Didn't do nothin wrong---they shouldunt been in my way! They was in my way! Stupid is---as stupid does!"
Dr. Phil: "What could you possibly be saying that was that important?"
Man: "Asking my frien what he was doing. He replied, "texting you"---ha! ha! ha!
Dr. Phil: "Do you always text while driving?"
Man: "Naw, sometimes I play video games."
Dr. Phil: "Have you no sense of responsibilit5y?"
Man: "Say WHAT?"
Dr. Phil: "Do you have any feelings at all for your fellow man?"
Man: "I don't have to! I'M thirty years old and awesome, you know, a member of the greatest generation!"
Dr. Phil turned to the audience. They answered as one-----
"Say WHAT!"
