Rental clown joins GOP race for President!

Funny story written by b kenneth mcgee

Tuesday, 3 April 2012

A rental clown from North Carolina announced late yesterday that he is entering the remaining GOP presidential primaries and expects to capture the nomination at the national convention in Tampa, Florida. The announcement, although attended by only one journalist from the local media, immediately gained traction on the internet and the social media.

The Reverend T. J. McCorkle of Louisburg, North Carolina is a part time rental clown and appears at business meetings and social gatherings across the US. He recently performed at a government GSA gathering in Las Vegas. The meeting, a training session for government employees cost the taxpayers over a million dollars and featured ninety dollar per person dinners, spa and massage treatments, a casino, and of course the Reverend T. J. McCorkle's clown act. Reverend McCorkle stated at the time,"I have no idea why they hired another clown. It was like carrying coals to Newcastle!"

When McCorkle was asked by the lone reporter from The Franklin Times about his platform and on what basis he was running, McCorkle replied," It was either me or Ronald McDonald!"

The reporter, obviously bored and wanting to get on to his next assignment at a local Pizza Hut asked,"Where do you stand on the issue of women's rights?"

McCorkle replied, "They have the right to remain silent!"

Reporter: "Gay rights?"

McCorkle: "Liberal on that one. I believe in turning the other cheek," he paused, "so to speak."

Reporter: "Declaring war on Iran?"

McCorkle: "Let's get er done!"

Reporter: "One last question?"

McCorkle: "Let er rip!"

Reporter: Will you continue to perform as a clown when you are elected to the most powerful position in the world?"

McCorkle: "It was good enough for Bush, it's good enough for me!"

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
