In the February 24th episode of Larry King Live, program, King interviewed John Ver Klempt, best selling crime novelist, about his latest book, Glenda's Way.
It tells the story of Jack Freddy, leader of a shadowy, polygamous splinter sect, who has a secret plan to back the mainstream Mormon church into a battle against radical Islamists.
As part of this plan, Freddy recruits one of his wives, the chubby but charismatic Glenda, to cross-dress and infiltrate a major news organization by impersonating a major network news personality to stir up anti-Muslim hysteria. The tension mounts as other networks, and the infiltrated network itself, work to head off this misguided and potentially dangerous misinformation campaign.
King noted remarkable reviews from across the political spectrum. "Thought provoking, and truer than truth," said Rachel Maddow. "Not only plausible, it should send a warning throughout the nation," raves Bill O'Reilly. "Fascinating, thought provoking and…YOU WILL BE HEARING FROM MY LAWYER," screamed Glenn Beck.
