Innocent till Found Guilty

An innocent young girl has been murdered but will an innocent man by found guilty of her murder?

The speed with which Vincent Tabak was charged with the murder of Joanna Yeates without firm evidence has provoked more questions than answers.

As Joanna's parents prepare to bury their beautiful daughter on Friday, the family of Vincent Tabak are experiencing a living nightmare that shows no sign of ending.

In anyone's language the murder of Joanna is an unbearable tragedy. To lose your daughter so young at Christmas time is horrific.

But when the alleged perpetrator is a young man of previous unblemished character it is especially difficult to take.

Vincent Tabak's family is to send their condolences to Joanna Yeates parents; their Dutch defence lawyer said that the family sincerely wishes to send their sympathies but it is difficult in the circumstances.

The parents of Joanna Yeates obviously must be relieved that the murder suspect is in custody but surely they must have doubts about whether the police have arrested the right man.

It is reminiscent of George Orwell's 1984 when a man is relentlessly hounded by Big Brother the way this young man's private life has been destroyed. Even if proved innocent some of the mud which has been slung around is bound to stick. Vincent Tabak's family are angered that the media have been camping outside of Cannynge Road 24/7 and the almost constant media coverage.

A lot of people are shocked how Vincent Tabak has been arrested and taken from his home and kept imprisoned with no evidence being brought forward. Quality journalists are understandably perplexed at the biased coverage which has been given by the news services. A man who could be innoncent has been taken from his home in the middle of the night; his life has been ruined, and it is as if he has disappeared forever into Room 101. According to a close friend Vincent has always been a very modest and moral man who would never have committed such an evil act.

There are doubt in many news editors minds as to whether Vincent Tabak is really guilty of the murder of Joanna Yeates. What motive could he positively have for this young girl's murder? He was a successful man who was in relationship. There are many questions which need to be answered

The Tabak family will send their carefully worded condolences after the funeral of Joanna Yeates takes part on Friday. It is hoped that the full facts of this murder investigation will one day be understood.

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
