I wrote this one a couple of months ago, about the spy Anna Chapman, to the tune of American Pie by Don McLean.
A long, long time ago
I can still remember how those ruskies used to make me smile
But nowadays it's all rhetorical stance, but I knew where I stood in the Russian dance
and it maybe, made me happy for a while
The cold war finished and it made me shiver
There would be no more spies to deliver
To the white house door step
Now it's all al qaeda threats
I can't remember any spies that made work
Like Khrushchev's guys
But something changed in the Soviets pride
The day the cold war died.
But now its heeeeello miss America spy
The Russians are back but in an obvious style
Us good old boys can forget Jihads for a while
cos Russian girls are better by miles
Russian girls are better by miles
It's been all big blokes with beards
And cloths wrapped up around their ears
Like the bible I suppose
They don't play the game of being a spy
You have to take care or they will make you die
It's a proper war now not the cold war style
Well I know intelligence is my game
But these days it isn't quite the same
We bit off more than we can chew
We picked an enemy with nothing to lose.
Well I know Putin is a Russian shmuck
But al qaeda don't give a fuck
And I think we may be out of luck
The day al qaeda tries
So I'll be singing
Heeeeelllooo Miss America spy
It's good to have you back
If only for a while
Cos our big boss boys will not want to die
And it will be forgotten by election time
Back to normal for election time.
