Sean Connery is non- fiction, Bond was fiction.

Notes from the Writers Fictional Retreat, Death Valley, CA. - Non-Fiction purports to be true in that it is the author's words, which they believe to be true. What if the author writes something that isn't true but rather fictional truth written intentionally to mislead? How can the reader determine if the fictional non-fiction is really fiction and not non-fiction?

Interesting questions, but in truth this a non-fictional essay about fiction and how perfectly good fiction can be passed for non-fiction.

Mathematically, fiction about fiction is true. And here is where it gets dicey. Supposedly mathematics is pure and true, but in this case it fails because fiction about fiction is still fiction and not non-fiction. How can a negative times a negative be a negative? Is math fiction?

If I were to write that Tiger Woods didn't have sex with all those women that would be fiction - as far as we know. What if the above statement is true and Tiger actually had sex with an entirely different group of women, and the first group was deprived of a roll with the best golfer ever. Not only would the first statement be non-fiction that group would lose their 15 minutes of fame.

Many well-known, but incognito, fiction and screenplay writers attended the Writers Fictional Retreat. The group concluded that good fiction is true literature, and just plain old fiction can be untrue non-fiction or just fiction. New ratings for all published fictional works will be grouped as; non-fiction, sorta-fiction, mostly-fiction, and fiction-fiction.

For the press the writers released the statement, "All writing is fiction". And if you read this far please be advised that the author of these notes is fictional.

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
