It is amazing how a few million dollars can change a person's perception of the world, especially when it comes to politics. Less than 2 years ago, Sarah Palin was the Governor of Alaska and the wife of an oil man--an oil man who worked for a company by the name of British Petroleum (BP). Yep, the very same oil company that is in the headlines today for one of the largest oil spills in history off the coast of the United States.

Todd Palin made great money as a production supervisor at BP and worked there for 18 years before retiring last year to spend more time with the family-translation: house husband and entourage member.

While Governor, and even after stepping down from that position to run as John McCain's running mate in the 2008 presidential election, Sarah Palin was pro pro pro drill drill drill, and she had nothing but kind words and tax breaks for BP. After all, BP was making lots of money for her state and providing a sizeable income for her family personally through Todd.

But with the recent oil spill, Sarah has once again shown us how cleverly she can take something she said in the past for profit and turn it completely around to make it sound like she was always against it, again for profit. Case in point, BP. Whereas before, this was a trusted company whom Palin was practically spooning in bed in a political sense, it is now a nasty foreign company that cannot be trusted. What is the reason for this about face, cold shoulder as it were? Palin realizes the importance of standing solidly behind the Tea Party Movement, her gravy train, in their overtly zealous stand against foreigners in this country and oil spill or not, trusted friend or not, BP could not have picked a worse time to prove to the world that drilling for oil can sometimes be way more trouble than it's worth.

And when these things happen, you can count on Miss Disingenuous to point those failures out, for a price.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
