Every second that passes our Galaxy the Milky Way is getting closer to our nearest galaxy the Andromeda Galaxy and is predicted to eventually collide in one of the most violent collisions in the universe.
The gap between The Milky Way Galaxy and The Andromeda Galaxy is 2.2 million light years but closing at 500,000 km an hour.
Meanwhile nearer at home the sun is losing 4 million tons a second which makes you wonder do they take this into account when they talk about global warming.
Don't worry though the galaxies are not due to collide until around over 3 billion years from now and the sun is so big that 4 million tons is like losing a grain of sand in a desert.
