At 75 years old, Elvis would probably not be doing a lot of pelvis shaking unless it was from an ailment in his nervous system, but he would still be adored.
Graceland in Memphis was celebrating his birthday and he was enjoying every minute of it.
Cilla was there as well as his beloved Lisa Marie and thousands of fans, to make it all seem like it used to be.
The Christmas tree still standing in the corner of the living room all white with red ornaments gave an indication that The King was still there.
Everything had to be the way Elvis wanted it to be. There could be no changes to the tradition and even the Memphis Mafia as he laughingly called his entourage could not change a thing.
Elvis planned everything, every minute, every day of his life, except August 16, 1977. That day, the Lord had other plans for Elvis and The King accepted the plans graciously.
Family, friends and fans will always know that he could not help falling in love with you.
Visiting Graceland still gives me shivers as I kneel at the resting place of The King. I glance upwards to a window where a dark shadow with a flash of white cape assures me, "Elvis has not left the building".
