Bushgate: Too Bad There Isn't A Hotel

Funny story written by Dark Recess

Aye. Does anyone remember Watergate? I don't. I was, oh, about negative 14 years old, so I'm a little young to remember.

Still. I'm feeling a little queasy about the administrations sudden reversal on continuing an investigation into domestic spying. Some have argued that it is the influence of a new Attorney General that is convincing Bush to let this investigation. I doubt that, very seriously.

More than likely, I think that the Bush Administration was using the denial of requisite security clearance to burn their trails and eliminate all shreds of incriminating evidence so that they can actually look like they are getting something done and "clearing" their name, simply because they know that they aren't going to get caught. After all, it's impossible to convict on a fleeting hunch in the wind.

Sigh. The Bush Administration has wiggled out of another one. Yet, I don't think their problems are over. On this issue especially, they have a long way to go before their names are "cleared" -- if that indeed is going to be the end result. On top of this, there will probably be a probe into his ethical practices concerning the administration of the office, as well as the still unanswered question of whether or not he will continue the trend of presidential affairs. Let's hope.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
