So after a wait of 4 long years LP is back with their new album Minutes to Midnight. When I first heard the album I could not believe linkin park was capable of singing this crap. Also the meaning of the songs are way too ridiculous.
Well here's a track by track review and you'll truly understand my 0 rating to this album.
Wake- This track comes way too early. LP underestimated their album a bit too much and thought their fans will fall asleep even before listening to any track. This track should have been after every 2 songs to WAKE the listeners who've dozed off(which includes everyone).
Given up- Now this song is apt. Chester sings he has given up trying to find sensible lyrics, good music and efforts to please the fans. Again there are mistakes in lyrics. They go,"I'm sick of feeling" when it should have been "I'm sick of SINGING". Way to go Chester, we're sick of hearing.
Leave out all the rest- This song has been sung by a backstreet boy. Yeah I am sure about it. Hence it's bound to be senseless.
Bleed it out- Here Mike reveals how the band tried to inflict injury to each other, by 'digging deeper' into each other's skin using a knife, which they then threw away. This song is scary and starts with 'Here we go for the hundreth time" showing the presence of violence in the band as they have tried to harm each other and made each other bleed for about 100 times.EERIE!!!
Shadow of the Day- Cover of with or without you(u2), with lyrics modified to show the lack of importance of windows and blinds in today's world.
What I've done- Here Chester talks about the day when he vomitted due to frequent consumption of junk food(video shows that) and now he wants mercy to come and wash away what he has done. Poor Chester!!! And I heard somewhere this song is political. Cheap comparison.
Hands held high-Here Mike talks about body odour and says that when we hold our arms high the smell from our armpits is so terrible that 'ocean opens up to swallow you'.Really the lyrics become more shocking as tracks progress..
No More sorrow- Chester accuses his friend of borrowing watches and something like that Actually I slept off in this track and was unable to understand it clearly.But i did hear someting like 'your time is borrowed'.
Valentine's day , In pieces etc. Don't even bother knowing about them. These songs are absolutely for losers who have led such miserable lives that they can spare time for such shitty album. If you are paralysed, in coma or such kind of invalid who is leading life like a vegetable then this album is for you. Who else wants to know about Chester's vomit, boy odour etc.?
THIS ALBUM IS CRAP. It is a crime to support such 'artists'.
Hope you'll heed my suggestions.
