Save money. It is the thought that counts anyway!

If it's the thought that counts, why spend money?

Many times per year, we are expected to fork over cash in order to provide gifts for various occasions, Christmas, anniversaries, birthdays, Mother's Day, Father's Day, and so forth. Over the course of a year, purchasing gifts for all of these occasions can run into some serious money.

According to personal finance expert Myron Dickey, the allocation of any amount of money is, quite simply, foolish. "Spending money on all these gifts makes no economic sense whatsoever," Dickey said. "It is a well known fact that it is the thought that counts and thoughts don't cost any money the last time I checked."
