ITV1 is suffering a disastrous summer as some of its new entertainment formats register appalling viewing figures.
But entertainment vigilante group TV Repair Man sees the figures as justification for its stand against what it describes as moronic programming.
The channel's failures include The Marriage Ref, Popstar To Operastar, and Born To Shine.
A source revealed that The Marriage Ref's lowest audience of 1.4 million viewers was "a disaster."
In a statement issued this morning, TV Repair Man welcomed the figures.
"We celebrate these disastrous figures for ITV's flagship entertainment channel. Our warnings concerning moronic so-called 'reality show' formats are proven.
"Producers and schedulers must take heed - the public will be taken for idiots no more. If the programme makers persist on their current course, our actions will continue relentlessly.
"It's a bit of a shame about Operastar though - the programme's crap, but that Katherine Jenkins is well fit, boyo."
