Brit actor Hugh Grant has been asked to replace troubled actor Charlie Sheen in the next series of hit US TV comedy Two And A Half Men.
But sources report that talks with the Bridget Jones's Diary star have stalled this week due to "creative differences."
It is believed that Grant was offered £1.1 million per episode by the show's producers, Warner Bros TV.
His spokesman was unavailable for comment, but EIF News & Features TV expert, Kevin Urticaria, said: "Knowing Hugh as I do, I'm not surprised he turned the show down.
"Let's face it, Two and a Half Men is utter shite. I'm not saying that's Hugh's opinion, but I have been told that it was once on at his home and he shouted from the kitchen, 'Turn that load of crap off, will you?'
"He obviously thinks it would be a bad career move to be in something so rancidly awful."
