A poll taken amongst music listeners has admitted that the vast majority suffer from what has been described as "Kate Bush Stress".
Although the British songstress only brings out an album every 20 years, the effect her high pitched screaming has on listeners' eardrums can be devastating.
Bush's latest release, "Director's Cut", is due out later this month and features reworkings of some her classic tracks.
The thought of once again being exposed to the caterwauling of "Wuthering Heights" and "Babooshka" is causing dismay amongst the more mature record buying public and doctors across the country are reporting a 1000% increase in cases of "projected aural stress", a situation that is being directly attributed to Bush.
The big concern is that there may not yet be a cure.
