Counselors that work in rehabs often have to resort to restraint to subdue uncooperative patients. Most of these tussles are harmless enough. People don't usually want to be in rehab or are having bad reactions to cutting themselves off from the steady supply of drugs their bodies and minds are use to. Often these situations end in violence because people are not themselves and the reaction is, bad behavior.
The recent situation with Lindsay Lohan ended in just such a event.
Lindsay was caught trying to go over a back wall at the Betty Ford Clinic to go out drinking. One of the counselors caught her and her girlfriend mid escape.
"Usually, I dread these events, said the counselor that interceded with the escape. but Lindsay has fire, she's so soft and cuddly, it's hard to not enjoy rolling around in the grass with her, I can see why she's a star."
Lindsay is out on the generosity of the probation department they are going interpret this as a cold slap in the face. If Lindsay is charged with assault she will probably be violated by the probation department and sent to prison.
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again then expecting different results.
