Hollywood - Oprah told Barbara Walters that she isn't gay, but her friend Gayle is.
"I don't know why people think that I am gay. Sure, Gayle is, but that doesn't mean all the time we spend together means that I am gay. Gayle has never hit on me or tried to seduce me, even if secretly I have hinted at her that I might want to be seduced by her, but that doesn't make me gay." Oprah told Barbra Walters.
The rumors of Oprah and Gayle being a couple seem to be getting more press as Oprah gets ready for retirement.
"Gayle is my best friend, and sure I buy her expensive things that I don't buy for Stedman, but that doesn't mean anything." Oprah added.
Gayle would not return any calls for comment on this story.
