News is coming out of X-Factor headquarters that The Cowell is to accede to the Diva Demands of the remaining finalists and let them pick their own songs for the next live edition of the show.

Instead of forcing the songs on the contestants, Cowell, Cole, et al will be 'suggesting' songs for the acts, however, should they choose to sing something different this is now up to them.

"It's a bit of a risky move," said show insider, Hillary Dale. "We do not know what songs they are going to sing."

Early indications are that Wagner will be singing the Gary Glitter classic, Do You Wanna Be In My Gang, whilst 1 Direction may be trying the Disney Classic Hi Ho It's Off To Work We Go.

"We do know for certain that Cher will be singing If I Could Turn Back Time, the song her namesake made madly popular," said Dale. "Treyc's gonna be singing On The Dock of the Bay and Katie Weasel, I mean, Waissel, will be singing I wish I was a Punk Rocker."

Belle Aime are expected to do Girls Girls Girls from Mötley Crew, while Mary Byrne is expected to cover a Susan Boyle cover in homage to the previous contestant. Nicolo Festa is thought to be showing no imagination at all, and has chosen Neon Nights by his manager Danni Minogue, although some think he may court controversy by singing Do the Locomotion by Kylie.

The only other rumours circulating round the show is that John Adeleye may be singing Walking On The Air by Howard Blake and Matt Cardle might come out with Sleeping With The Enemy from Rhianna. How true any of this is, is anybody's guess.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
