Police were called to the X-Factor house after a scuffle broke out between contestant Matt Cardle's hat and Katie Waissel's chin. The pair both vying for attention after trending on twitter were locked in a bitter feud after hat became infuriated with Waisell's fame hungry face.
After quivering and shaking it's way through her sing off performance Katie's chin was exhausted on her return to the house. Continuing to wimper through the night Chin angered Cardle's Hat whom has been ditched to accommodate the wardrobe department's urge to 'sex up' contestant Matt.
Apparently feeling neglected hat took its rage out on chin who quivered some more prompting hat to jump on, and smother chin in a bid to silence it.
Police at this point were called to break the pair up and took statements from the other X-Factor contestants. Reports that Cher Lloyds had to break up the pair using her hand which doubles up as a gun a were unconfirmed.
