Controversy continues to dog Simon Cowell's X-Factor show as rumours surfaced today that a wild card slot will be awarded to alleged Wakefield prostitute Chloe Mafia, once again leaving the people's choice, Gamu Nhengu out in the cold.
A friend of Simon Cowell's reported that all the negative publicity attracted by the show was wearing Simon down, and that he simply wants to get on quietly with his task of bringing out remarkable talent for the delectation of the British public.
Initially, some 120,000 viewers signed a Facebook campaign in support of Gamu, who was axed to make way for the reportedly fragile Cher Lloyd, and kooky Katie Waissel (who allegedly made a mucky DVD) both of whom were what can only be described as shite in their latest auditions.
We couldn't get a comment from Gamu because she was too busy plucking her eyebrows in Scotland somewhere, but a neighbour told us that she'd be gutted if she's overlooked again in favour of 'some harlot from Wakefield.'
We couldn't contact Chloe Mafia either, as she was reportedly holed up in a Leeds hotel with a gentleman friend for a few hours. However, a man in a nearby pub told us that Chloe Mafia was the toast of the white rose county and that he'd be 'chuffed to little mintballs' if Chloe gets the wild card slot.
Skoob Entertainment News is firmly of the opinion that all this negative publicity must be taking its toll on poor old Simon Cowell.
Cheryl Cole is still only 5'3" and the smart money is on Scouse lass Rebecca Ferguson.
More as we get it.
