Rolling Stones axeman Keith Richards is due to give a talk based on his memoirs at the New York Public Library.

But the Glimmer Twin is concerned that his memory may not be up to the job.

"I've been trying to put together these memoirs, man," he growled. "Thing is, there are huge holes in my memory - can't think why.

"I've been asking Mick and Bill if they can fill in the gaps, but they just yank my chain with stories about weeks spent in French chateaux, or hanging out with country singers. Gram Parsons? What kind of name is that?

"Those guys."

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
