It was announced yesterday at Comic-Con that Brad Pitt will star in the film of the horror novel, "World War Z". Plus, it was announced by the writer himself, Max Brooks.
The novel is a creepy zombie horror story that should do well on the big screen.
Brooks stated that Brad Pitt's production company had grabbed the rights to the book in 2007 but held off until Pitt himself had an opening to play in it.
Will he be a zombie himself? He wouldn't say, as he and Angelina Jolie dropped by for the big event.
Paramount has the optioning rights and the book's author says that the filming will begin as soon as possible. "Although the movie wouldn't be out until early 2012."
Meanwhile, Pitt stated that he had received a call from Woody Harrelson saying that his zombie movie was fun to do plus "You can fake a flashback at any time and go flatten somebody."
Overhearing this, Angelina Jolie stated that she might be interested in a small role as she already had someone in mind that she would love to flatten!
