Yep, Billy Bob is intentionally pregnant and happy eating pickles and ice cream. When asked whom the father/mother was Thornton stated, "I've been married five times and it don't work for me. I'm on my own on this one". In actuality, an army of doctors and medical technicians are caring for Billy Bob and others at the at the recently dedicated Men's Pre Natal Wing of the Los Angeles City Hospital.
Thornton became interested in the possibility of carrying his own baby after attending the dedication ceremony of LA City Men's Pre Natal Wing. Billy Bob loves kids, already has four, and why not save on long term health care and alimony by doing it yourself. Recent breakthroughs in the Pre Natal care and development for men has demonstrated that a pregnant man can successfully carry a baby all the way through cesarean birth. The process is expensive and rather complicated but well off families are now faced with the option. Choosing the father as the baby's carrier is especially attractive to wealthy entertainers and movie stars that are in constant demand and worried about their figure.
Last week Billy Bob spoke at the annual Pregnant Symposium in Sacramento and received a rowdy standing ovation from a crowd of mostly women. One participant said, "Billy Bob is a brave individual who is helping the advancement of equality for all of humanity". Thornton and his band performed for the two thousand attendees - many pregnant women, and one other pregnant man. The band closed with new lyrics for the Spenser David Group song 'I'm a Man'; "I'm a man, yes I am, I'm prego, and love it so.".
