For six seasons, fans of MTV's The Hills have wondered about the show's authenticity. Is it a reality soap or just a scripted soap opera?
In the season finale, things got even worse.
"That was a great show to have such a weird ending!" stated one huge fan of the series. (Ar least 300-pounds, must watch a LOT of television).
However, his question was typical of what some people are still shaking their heads about.
In the final moments, Exes Kristin Cavallari and Brody Jenner say goodbye in front of the famous Hollywood sign, but as Kristin drives off in the distance while Brody watches longingly after her, the Hollywood sign is revealed to be just a backdrop and the camera pans out to show the scene is being shot at Paramount Studios.
Even worse, it looked like Betty White was walking around behind a curtain asking about the bathroom.
If you missed that part, then you had the cut version.
A spokesman for the show stated that, indeed, Betty White WAS looking for a bathroom as she got mixed up from doing an interview on another lot and wound up wandering around during 'The Hills'.
"We thought we had all that edited out but that one part got left on somehow, but was only a blip on most peoples televisions."
Apparently, Betty got on four times and the scenes had to be redone until everyone was worn out.
As for "The Hills", we were told that each viewer was to make up his/her own mind if the show was fake or real.
Spokesman: "Betty White sure was real!"
