Marvel Comics have decided that it is time to give Wonder Woman a make-over. Now every other woman in the world now has had a Gok Wan make-over, it is time to turn to fictional characters, and with Wonder Woman having worn the same outfit since 1941, Marvel have decided that seventy years is enough, only drama's on the Yesterday channel have more dated outfits.
When Wonder Woman's outfit burst onto the scene during the second world war, it was racy, daring and just a little rude. Since then, fashions caught up with Wonder Woman and over took her, twice.
"She's always been a sexy woman," said new writer, J Michael Straczynski, "but she needs to be sexy in the twenty-first century."
J Michael Straczynski's idea of sexy does make the new look Wonder Woman look pretty hot. Out are the miniskirts and body basques, and in is the lycra and body hugging stocking. The trademark whip, bracelets and headband remain, as doe the flowing locks of black hair.
Having seen the new look just once, Hollywood director Ron Howard was alleged to have said: "Jesus she is hot, I gotta make her into a movie. Somebody get the Warshawski brothers on the phone! And don't let Fonzie see her!"
So expect a Wonder Woman movie in the next few months to be announced shortly.
