Arnie went to visit his 'old' stunt double, Billy Lucas, in hospital recently. He got more than he bargained for.
On entering the hospital he bumped into the Double Mint twins and the Olsen twins, who were visiting the Gosselin twins.
After a brief greeting Arnie moved to his friend, Billy's room and the nurses allowed them to enjoy a Double Diamond (ale) each.
Arnie gave Billy a packet of his favourite cookies, Double Stuff Oreos and a double Twix bar.
Arnie stayed for lunch to 'catch up' with Billy. They each ate a double cheeseburger. Arnie jokingly 'double-dared' Billy to put the whole burger in his mouth at once. Billy obliged and almost choked. It took two minutes to dislodge the burger from Billy's throat.
During the visit, many topics were discussed, including the tragedy of the Twin Towers. The pair also watched a re-run of an old British Game Show, "Double Your Money". They were both doubled up with laughter when watching the old black and white show.
They also discussed Susan Boyle and her upcoming 2nd CD, which they are both looking forward to buying. Susan's TWO homes in Blackburn where discussed at length.
On hearing Susan Boyle's name, The Clappy Twins appeared at the doorway carrying 2 red scarves and began bestowing blessing on the unsuspecting pair. Arnie called for security and two brawny 'heavies' escorted the twins out of the hospital.
"Double Trouble there!" commented Arnie and Billy agreed.
Billy, by then, was 'up for a game of darts'. Arnie obliged and got off to a good start with a 'double 20'. He won the game easily, needing 38 and finishing with a double 19.
He'd stayed twice as long as he had meant to so after 2 hours, Arnie bade his friend, 'farewell', promising to return for a 2nd visit.
