New 'Pop Idle' TV show

Contestants are now being head-hunted for a new television entertainment show 'Pop Idle'. The aim of the show is to pick the most able but least motivated out of a group of 15 to 25 year olds.

There are expected to be a glut of entrants, the first round of auditions taking place in September. 'Pop Idle' organiser, Jan McLan said: "We're looking forward to an amazing response. We want the laziest pop-people to enter, and we can see just how idle they are. We're expecting auditions from a few well known pop acts, as well as unknowns. The different thing about this show is that we're auditioning people who could be pop stars, but are just too 'savoire faire' to even try to make it."

Although they have so far had thousands of enquiries about the new show, it seems obvious to us that this show can never be truly representative. After all - the laziest Pop star would not even bother to get in touch with these people.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
