Talks opened yesterday between representatives of the world's best selling authors, JK Rowling and Stephanie Meyer hoping to give the green light to a collaborative writing endeavour which will shake the literary world to its foundations.
The creators of the Twilight and Harry Potter series have reportedly been in contact by email and are rumoured to both be open to the possibility of a collaborative writing project, although as yet no details have been forwarded to the media.
It is widely speculated that as the original Harry Potter and Twilight audiences have matured, any collaboration will feature distinctly adult themes and is expected to touch on topics which have hitherto been taboo for use in children's books.
It is widely believed that should the project ever see the light of day, that the resultant publication would quickly become the highest grossing book of all time. Probably within its first month.
Both authors are said to be 'excited' by the proposals.
