LONDON - The most popular female comedy team in the history of the United Kingdom has thrown in the towel, or rather the whimsical washcloth.

Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders who worked together making millions of Britishers, Spaniards, and Ukrainians laugh their arses off have decided to part ways.

When asked why, the 51-year-old Saunders said that she just got tired of Dawn's incessant snoring. Jen said that sometimes it would wake her up in the middle of the night and she said that the noise was so loud she swore that she was aboard the Royal Navy's aircraft carrier The HMS Invincible.

French meanwhile pointed out that she got fed up with Jen always calling her names such as fatty, Shamu, hippo, and Kirstie (Alley).

Dawn also noted that there were dozens and dozens of times when some of the fans would get the two mixed up. Jennifer would tell the fans that the best way to remember which was which was to remember that Dawn's last name French, starts with the letter F which also stands for fat.

[EDITOR'S NOTE: Within the past few years, Dawn has certainly put on the poundage. She says it is due to a gland condition, to which Jen replies that it's more of a pan condition as she puts everything imaginable into one of her huge kitchen pans, cooks it, and then proceeds to eat every single morsel by her fat little self.]

The next-to-the-last performance of the comedy duo of French and Saunders was at The English Leather Arena in Ipswich. That night there were over 100,000 people in attendance with some standing as high as three high.

The very last performance of Fat and Tat as the Northern Englishmen called them was at Buckingham Palace where they performed for three solid, non-stop hours for Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles, his wife Camilla Bowles, and Camilla's guests Katy Perry and her much older boyfriend Russell Brand.

After the performance the Queen was heard to reply, "'ey da rawdir plumpish one, what is 'er name agin?" When told that it was Dawn French, she replied, "The one from Gilligan's Island du say?"

In a related story. It is being reported on BEEP, the BBC that North Korean leader Kim Jong Il wants to visit England and take a VIP tour of Buckingham Palace. Queen Elizabeth II was said to have emailed him back saying that Bucky, as she calls the palace, will be closed for repairs between now and November 7, 2010.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
