An informed source told us today that comedian and actor Steve Coogan is planning a blockbuster new movie featuring his most famous creation, crap local radio DJ, Alan Partridge.
And the movie is to be set and filmed in New York. Which raises some interesting plot possibilities, such as Alan Partridge meets Howard Stern, or a live phone in show featuring Partridge and Rush Limbaugh, during which much mockery would be made of both liberals and farmers.
Steve Coogan confirmed that Alan Partridge would remain true to his East Anglian roots, and not attempt to become a Noo Yoiker.
The only other individual we could find to confirm our story was that bloke who played Alan Partridge's mate, Michael, who worked in the all night garage and once had sex with a real woman in Cardiff after driving her home because she was inebriated.
The actor told us:
"Ah divvent knaa fo shewer if it's reet or not pet. Burriff irriz Ah hurp he giz wu a part in it. If it's an American movie like, wuz myte get tee fly attack helicoptaz and shoot lurds a bullets man. That'd be reet canny that. Why aye."
Whatever that means.
More as we get it. Ah-Ha
