Teenage pop star Riley Cyprus, a rip-off of Miley Cyrus, tops the nominations for the MTV Video Music Awards Latin America in Mexico City.
The 16-year-old native of UK is competing in five categories including "Best Video" and "Artist of the Year" in the ceremonies.
Cyprus, whose debut album "DadaDodi" garnered two Latin Grammy nominations, is scheduled to perform at the show, which will be broadcast on MTV Latin America and MTV TR3S, MTV's bilingual channel in the USA.
"DadaDodi" sold more than 5,000,000 copies worldwide as of June 2009, currently ranking as the second biggest-selling album of the year; its follow-up will come out this November. Cyprus' success has, by far, outranked Cyrus' success especially in Latin countries and in the Middle East where all of her songs have peaked in the top forty.
The multi-talented beauty is also starring in six new movies: "Ana Bella" which is about a poor girl who falls in love with the prince of the village, "Crazy Sisis" which is about a bunch of naughty high school girls who decide to cheat on their boyfriends, "Ay Ya Ya" which is about a teenage girl who decides to get married, "I Say Love Is You And You Are Me" which is a love story between a young student and her best friend, "It's A Lesbo World" which is about two sisters who fly to Europe to meet their idol and "After You" (post-production and story is top secret).
