Washington, D.C. - What is believed to be the penis of early midwestern bank robber, John Dillinger, famously killed outside of a movie theater on orders of J. Edgar Hoover, has been discovered in a box at the Smithsonian Institution.
The box was labelled 'Sex Aids of the 20th Century' and was supposedly created to house various devices found at the Sands Hotel before its implosion in Las Vegas in 1996.
Although rumors regarding the residency of John Dillinger's penis at the Smithsonian had been circulating for years, they were believed to have been fabricated, a result of the fact that the Smithsonian has become known as the repository of the good, the bad, and the ugly of 'American Popular Culture'.
As a result of the discovery of Dillinger's penis, curators are hastily throwing together a new exhibit entitled 'A Salute To The American Penis - A Star Spangled Banner'. Tickets are on sale immediately. The first day of the exhibition will also coincide with a 'Penis Appreciation Day'.
