Viewers to the latest episode of the apprentice have been left gasping with shock at the biggest twist in gamehow history. Nick Hewer, Sir Alan Sugar's right hand man for 35 years was sensationally fired on the spot after a series of uncharacteristic outbursts.
Hewer has come to be known on the show as one of Sir Alan's trusted "spies" but in the latest boardroom showdown with the final 3 contestants, his smerky grin was to be removed by the ever ruthless Sugar. Whilst questioning the candidates on their latest challenge, Hewer began to frequently deride their arguments shouting out b****cks and b*****it during the final exchanges.
A seething Sir Alan swivelled round to Hewer and cried "Enough Hewer! You've never been any good on this show and I'm always bored to death when you talk. I gave you the simple task of being interesting and you messed it up...you're fired!" A gracious Hewer left the boardroom with just a few words "Thank you Sir Alan for a wonderful opportunity".
Asked to comment on his decision, Sugar explained "It was probably a bit harsh but it makes for great TV!" Hewer, 68, is now facing bankruptcy.
