Jade Goody, the terminally-ill ex-Big Brother housemate and racist, was yesterday the victim of a sustained and relentless verbal attack by a female member of the public whilst she was laid up in her hospital bed, say doctors.
Staff at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London told police that the attack took place shortly after 3.02pm on Day 61.
Jade's agent explained that her husband, Jack Tweed, had left her room at 3.01pm to get a cup of tea from the hospital canteen.
A woman entered her room and started arguing with her about 'chapatis', and had to be called to the hospital's Diary Room. She was later released back into the ward.
One doctor, who said he had pre-determined views of Jade before she came into the hospital, laughed:
"Looks like she got a dose of her own medicine, if you'll pardon the pun."
