Jimmy Somerville, the gay high-pitched vocalist with 80s band "The Communards" has announced today that his voice has finally broken.
Mr Somerville, aged 48, had trouble speaking during the press conference, with his voice alternating between a high falsetto and a deep bass tone.
He said that it was probably due to testosterone supplements he has been taking to try to gain a hairy chest to impress his lover. As a side effect, his voice has broken, and he has also begun to be attracted to women.
At the end of the interview, Mr Somerville was in tears, declaring, "This will ruin my singing career and my love life."
He also appealed to his doctor who prescribed the tablets, "Don't leave me this way!"
