Top Beatles drummer Ringo Starr's dramatic refusal to sign autographs from October 20th has created chaos at his local postal sorting office.
"It's OK for him to make such a statement but what happens when he has a recorded delivery?" said Ivor Package the local postie.
Ringo Starr's cleaning woman, mrs Sophie Water was also worried. "He pays me by cheque which he has to sign, I don't know what will happen."
Tory leader David Cameron commented "Another example of Gordon Brown failing to protect the interests of the british people. He quite clearly has no idea and should quit now."
Gordon Brown refused to be drawn into an argument only stating that he believed that 'now was no time for a novice.'
It is believed that the reason Ringo will no longer sign anything is that his favourite pen is close to runniing out and he will find it to traumatic to begin using another one.
