Across the religious and superstitious world of faith and hocus pocus, weeping icons from Russia to Mexico have attracted flocks of pilgrims in search of a miracle. Despite the deep religiosity and medieval superstitions of American Republicans, few expected that a true full blowhard miraculous apparition would occur at the Republican National Convention.
While half in the bag convention delegates watched with bleary eyes on of the hopelessly sentimental videos at the convention meant to waste time because of the dearth of ideas and policies, an image rose in the st Paul Convention Center that sent shivers down the alcohol deadened spines of the delegates. There before their disbelieving eyes an apparition manifested itself: The weeping icon of St George W Bush.
The man who had stubbornly fed the killing mill of the Iraqi war with young American lives without batting an eye nevermind a tear wept before the assembly. The faithful ran forward to collect one of the holy tears of the icon, only to find out that it was a special effect.
