What's the story in Balamory? We'll tell you and then you'll know! It seems that Hollywood actor, Orlando Bloom, has accepted a role in the new big screen adaptation of children's programme, Balamory.
Balamory has been a major success among the under-5's across the Britain and now it seems it will reach world-wide fame.
Bloom, 31, will be playing new character, Barry the bachelor, who arrives in Balamory causing quite a stir.
"I can't wait to start fimling," says Bloom, "the script is fantastic, the characters superbly developed and I think this could be the highlight of my career so far."
The story offers plenty a laughs and excitement, especially when Barry loses his house keys!
"It's brilliant, I lose my house keys and PC Plum has to be called in to investigate, there's a big search around the entire village and then it turns out I've had them in my pocket all along!"
Bloom is known for his action films and "Balamory: The Movie!" is no exception, "There's this one part where I trip over one of my removal boxes and hurt my foot, they were going to use my stunt double but I said I'd like to try it for myself."
"Balamory: The Movie!", directed by Ridley Scott, starts filming in November and should be in cinemas by January.
