he will search the globe for his princess.

It is almost good enough for a Hollywood script. Famous rich boy sees not-so-famous girl across a room, their eyes lock but circumstance sees girl whisked away.

Perhaps a little corny - but for 18-year-old boy wizard Daniel Radcliffe, this was his experience on his last visit to Australia.

And now he wants help to find his mystery girl.

Radcliffe, famous for his role as Harry Potter, has spoken for the first time about this lost love. In an exclusive interview with me, he said he had many adventures on a recent trip Down Under: from getting lost in a taxi in Melbourne to climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge

But the actor, who has often spoken about not being able to get a girlfriend, has revealed his love of "brilliant" Australian women in general - and one in particular he met backstage at an AFI ceremony.

"There was one girl there, oh my God, she had these eyes that just looked at me like she wanted to pounce on me, God that would be welcomed." the star said yesterday. "She stared at me all night and I was going to get her number and maybe take her back home but then I couldn't find her."

"I must have walked around at party for an hour looking for this girl like some sad, pathetic dweeb but it would have been so worth it."

When I asked if I could help, Radcliffe blushed and regretfully shook his head. "I don't know, I don't know her name, I can't remember her name. It was one of those things but she was stunning."

Radcliffe, worth an estimated $50 million, has in the past lamented how "gold-diggers" were always a worry and many girls he met liked him only for his fame and money.

"I know this girl was different and I will be doing everything in my power to find her, I don't care if I have to go to every house in Australia to find her, but I will get my princess."

Very determined words from young Radders, I just hope I can twist his arm to settle for me instead.

The funny story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
