Unhinged pop-star Britney Spears has been involved in a potentially fatal car smash on the Ace Ventura Freeway in Los Angeles.
California Highway Patrol officer Francis Llewellyn Poncherello told the Spoof that the twenty-six year old singer-cum-exhibitionist smashed her Mercedes at four miles per hour into the back of a stationary Nissan, which then careered into the back of a school bus carrying underprivileged children.
A police spokesman later said that despite the force of the impact, nobody was hurt.
"This could have been a disaster. If Spears had been driving much much faster, and the Nissan had been driving towards her, and the school bus had been dangling precariously over the side of a bridge following an accident of its own, and the Mercedes had hit the Nissan, which had then smashed into the back of the bus... Well, it doesn't bear thinking about."
A reporter from the Guardian asked the spokesman if the singer's recent fragile mental state could have contributed to the accident. The spokesman said he didn't know.
