The international Arts community last night issued a fatwa on playwright David Mamet after he admitted he was no longer a "brain dead liberal".
"He is an infidel." said Kevin Klose director of National Public Radio. "Anyone who kills him does a service to humanity."
The bounty on his head is over $22 million mostly coming from Hollywood actors.
"Its terrible" said Kevin Spacey, "I used to really respect him as a writer, now I've learnt the awful truth, I have burned all his plays."
Will Smith agrees.
"What I find so offensive is his association of liberalism with the brain dead. I know lots of people who are brain dead and some are republicans. My own auntie is a clinical vegetable. I've visited her in hospital for years and never once did she vote Democrat- despite me pleading with her."
Fellow playwright Harold Pinter was even more damning.
"He is an apostate. Our holy book [The Guardian] is very clear about this sort of thing. He should be swiftly dispatched to hell."
